Getting Leads Shouldn’t Be So Hard

Getting leads shouldn’t be so hard! Raise your hand if you’ve ever said this pertaining to any part of your business. In fact, fill in the blank: “__________ shouldn’t be so hard!” 🙋

I get it! I remember a time when I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting leads or if I did, they were tire kickers, or they weren’t my ideal client. I thought I was missing something, I thought I needed to work harder and do more. I was getting frustrated because it appeared that what I was doing wasn’t working.

The fact is that we will attract what we believe. Our minds actually have the power to direct our lives and sometimes, without even recognizing it, we are stating and declaring exactly what we don’t want to experience!

Would you believe me if I told you that owning and running a business was 80% mindset?  That seems pretty extreme, doesn’t it?

However, since we are a byproduct of our thoughts and since everything that comes to pass first starts with an idea/thought, then it really is a legit concept that 80% of what we actually experience and create is a result mindset.

So, if we aren’t getting the results we want, we have to seriously consider why and while there are practical things we can do, we also need to be willing to face ourselves and what we truly believe and how that could be effecting the fruit of our labor.

If I believe that getting leads is hard, it will be. If I believe that it is hard to make money selling travel, it will be. If I believe that it will take a long time to build a successful home-based business, it will. If I believe that I need to work twelve-hour days to create wealth, then that’s what it will take.

On the flip side, if I believe that it is easy to get leads, make money selling travel, build a successful travel business and I can work a productive 4-hour day and create the wealth I desire, then that is what I will get.

Don’t get me wrong, there are seasons in business where more time and energy are involved. And you digging in your heels and getting it done is a result of a mindset of confidence that you can do it and a mindset that nothing will stop you and that you are not giving up!

With that said, we can’t keep digging the hole to prepare to build our business, we eventually need to pour the foundation and start putting up the frame, and if we find ourselves not making progress, we do have to check our mindset so that we can keep moving forward.

A strategy that I found to help me with my mindset pertaining to building a successful destination wedding business was getting a coach. Someone who has accomplished what I am striving to do and paying attention to how she thinks and how she talks…what she believes and what marketing strategies she implements.

I even go to her for productivity hacks, organization and success habits! If you want what someone else has, you may find that the secret is in their daily routine! It’s too much time and energy to figure some of these things out on our own! I don’t know about you, but I want the fast track to my goals! ✨
