How to Ensure Your Destination Wedding Travel Business is Ready for the 2023 Wedding Season

If you’re anything like me, and you cringe when you see Halloween stuff in August and Christmas items in September, then this blog post may just annoy you a bit but stick with me because my goal is to ensure you’re ready for the upcoming wedding season!

Every year during the Holidays, thousands and thousands of couples get engaged. Excited, hopeful, and flashing their new bling at every gathering, these couples may start telling their friends and family that they are considering a destination wedding.

Once the Holidays are over and life settles to a normal routine, onto the internet they go with determination and glee as they start researching keywords like “the best places for a destination wedding” or “destination wedding trends 2023.”

Ensure Your Destination Wedding Travel Business. How?

The question I have for you, destination wedding specialist is this, are you ready for these couples?

Do you have the content on your blog, YouTube channel, Podcast, Facebook Group, and social feeds that they are searching for?

Will they find you?

There are several things that you need to have in place to be ready for the wedding season – your lead magnet, consultation process, client acquisition workflow, and more, but in this post, I’d like to talk about your content.

After all, this is the number one way to get leads for your wedding & travel business who aren’t your friends and family!

Let’s take a little self-assessment:

  1. Are you consistently creating and sharing quality content about destination weddings and honeymoons?
  2. Do you have an actual content strategy for your travel business?
  3. Do you know what types of content you should be sharing to get the attention of your ideal wedding couple?

If you answered “no” to any of these, then my next question to you is “why not”?

Are you too overwhelmed? Do you not know how? Do you not have enough time? Do you think you’re not good at creating content?

3 Cs: Create Content Consistently

Can I be honest with you? Most people who are creating their own content feel this way.

Even as I’m sharing this blog post, I’m doubting if it will be helpful. Doubting if anyone will read it. Wondering if I’m wasting my time.

But if one travel advisor finds this helpful, it is a win for me! If one destination wedding specialist makes a mindset shift to focus on creating helpful content for their ideal client, it is a win for me!

Don’t focus on the many – focus on the one. The one couple who has a specific question that your content is answering. The one couple who wants to know if El Dorado Casitas Royale is a good fit for a couple who wants a custom destination wedding. The one couple who is overwhelmed with where to start their destination wedding or honeymoon planning.

Take the pressure off. Think of your ideal couples and what questions they are up at night Googling and start answering those questions in your content.

If you will do this consistently, I promise you will get results. It may not be right away, but it will happen.
